Jan. 18 meeting on whitewater park in Leavenworth
Chelan County Natural Resources will give a presentation on a feasibility study and alternatives analysis that looks at the development of a whitewater park at the former Leavenworth Mill Dam site, or at Barn Beach Reserve. The event is 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Wenatchee River Institute.

Survey shows growth of aquatic invasive species in Lake Chelan
A recent aquatic invasive species survey at Lake Chelan shows that invasive aquatic plants are more widely distributed in the Wapato Basin and lower Lucerne Basin of the lake compared to survey results from eight years ago. The survey's full report is now available online.

Natural Resources receives $656,000 for salmon recovery efforts
The Washington State Salmon Recovery Funding Board awarded $21 million in grants across the state to aid in salmon recovery. Included in that allocation is nearly $814,000 to agencies in Chelan County, including more than $656,000 to Chelan County Natural Resources.
