Education and Outreach - Natural Resources

Chelan County Natural Resources Department works with other non-profit organizations and government agencies on outreach and education events annually. CCNRD also coordinates the Wenatchee Habitat Sub-Committee meetings which bring habitat project sponsors and other interested individuals together to plan and implement watershed stewardship activities within the County. The Wenatchee Habitat Sub-Committee also aims to bring relevant research presentations to the monthly meetings.

Salmon Recovery in the Wenatchee Watershed

Partner organizations dedicated to advancing salmon recovery within the Wenatchee Watershed recently worked together to produce a series of virtual community outreach videos to share the story of the collaborative efforts underway to prioritize, plan and implement salmon habitat restoration within the Wenatchee River and its tributaries.

The joint series of engaging presentations share the story of current and future restoration projects, landowner assistance opportunities, youth education programs, volunteer opportunities, and the combined benefit of these coordinated efforts have for salmon recovery, ecosystem resilience, and the communities that live along the Wenatchee River and its tributaries.
