K9 Kait and her handler, Corrections Deputy Jacob Lewis, are about to celebrate their first anniversary as a team. Supporters of the drug-detecting duo have kicked off a fund-raising campaign for the month of November.
Chelan County on Oct. 16 will sponsor a Public Safety Testing event for people interested in working in law enforcement or corrections. Interested people must pre-register to take the written and physical tests.
Corrections Deputy Jacob Lewis has been nominated for a professional award for his efforts in building the K-9 narcotics detection program at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center. Now it’s up to the community to help Lewis become a finalist! Learn how to vote.
