Chelan County commissioners have awarded a $1.1 million contract to a Moses Lake company for the construction of a facility that will allow residents to safely dispose of common household chemicals on a year-round basis. The facility should be completed in summer 2019.

Join Chelan County Public Works at a community meeting on Sept. 18 to get an update on the progress of the West Cashmere Bridge Replacement Project. The meeting will be 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Cashmere's Riverside Center.
Starting this September and lasting for about four months, Chelan County and municipal governments will be replacing streetlights with high efficiency, light-emitting diode (LED) technology. About 3,700 streetlights are being replaced using a combination of grant funding from the state and Chelan County PUD.
The Washington State Freight Mobility Strategic Investment Board has awarded Chelan County $3 million for its West Cashmere Bridge Replacement Project.
Chelan County Public Works issued a Determination of Non-Significance under WAC 197-11-340(2) for the 2017 Manson Stormwater Comprehensive Plan. Comments on the draft comprehensive plan will be accepted until no later than 5 p.m. on June 4.
