Board Of County Commissioners

Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

The Chelan County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee was established by resolution No. 97-151 on Dec. 1, 1997, and re-established on Jan. 27, 2014, by resolution 2014-11; and the Chelan County Promotions Committee was established on Jan. 27, 2014, by resolution No. 2014-12 to coordinate the Visit Chelan County campaign. The Board of County Commissioners determined these two committees should be revitalized and has combined their efforts.

RCW 67.28.1817 states commissioners have the authority to appoint members of a Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in equal number between revenue-generating businesses and organizations funded by the tax revenue. The committee's chairman must be an elected official.
