Kevin Overbay

Kevin Overbay, who represents District 1, is a fourth generation Chelan County resident and grandson of Manson apple orchardists. Kevin was born in Wenatchee and grew up in the Malaga area. He is a 1986 graduate of Wenatchee High School and served eight years in the U.S. Air Force and Washington Air National Guard. While in the Air Guard, Kevin worked for Boeing Company as a functional test electrician before joining the Washington State Patrol in 1992.

While in the WSP, Kevin served in three districts: Everett, Wenatchee and Spokane. In 2012, he attained the rank of lieutenant and was appointed the Eastside Rapid Deployment Force Commander as well as Assistant District Commander assigned to Spokane. In 2014, Kevin returned to Wenatchee as the Assistant District Commander with oversight of WSP field operations in Grant, Kittitas, Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan Counties. Kevin retired from the WSP after 25 years of service on Jan. 17, 2017, and is committed to being your full-time Chelan County Commissioner.

Kevin and his wife, Crystal, of over 28 years, have two daughters, Mihkaela and Kiffen. Over the past 20 years, Kevin has donated countless hours supporting over two dozen volunteer boards, community projects and youth sports organizations. He is a former member and chairman of the Malaga-Colockum Community Council as well as the Chelan County Board of Equalization. He was a member of the Chelan County I-502 Cannabis Workgroup and is a board member for the NCW Chaplain Foundation. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys coaching girls fastpitch softball.
