Monitor Air Quality
Both the Labor Mountain Fire and the Lower Sugar Loaf Fire are causing unhealthy to hazardous air conditions at times in Chelan County. Monitor the Washington Smoke Blog for updates and forecasts.
Labor Mountain Fire (Updated 1 p.m. on Oct. 1, evacuation levels unchanged)
Labor Mountain Fire, which has been burning in Kittitas County, is now in Chelan County. It is 37,239 acres and 7 percent contained. Monitor fire information on InciWeb.
A 30-mile stretch of US 97 on Blewett Pass is closed. Monitor the WSDOT website for road closure information.
Evacuations
A variety of Evacuation Levels are in place; however, because of the remoteness of the roadways, we ask that you use the Chelan County Emergency Incidents Map for exact boundary lines on where the levels are located.
Level 3 (Get out now!), Mission Creek Road south of Sand Creek
Level 3 (Get out now!), US 97, milepost 163.5 to 174
Level 3 (get out now!) has been added to Camas Creek Road above and including 2955, and Camas Way.
Level 2 (Be prepared to leave): Ingalls Creek Rd. and all of Valley Hi.
Level 2 (Be prepared to leave): A portion of Old Blewett Road and Camas Creek Road, including Niles Lane.
Level 1 Fire Advisory (Be alert): Brender Canyon Road, from Sky Meadows Road to the end. All of Sky Meadows Road, all of Brisky Canyon Road, and Mission Creek Road from Tripp Canyon Road to the end
Level 1 Fire Advisory (Be alert): The ridgelines west of Wenatchee, on the east side of the Labor Mountain Fire. The affected area impacts NO homes at this time.
People living below the fire advisory should monitor the situation on the Chelan County Emergency Incidents Map.
Shelters
An emergency shelter is available at Christ Center Church, 5800 Kimber Road in Cashmere.
If you need assistance with domestic or large/livestock animal care due to the current fires, call Animal Care & Control Dispatch at 509-888-7283. The number is available 24/7; however, if someone does not answer when you call, leave a message and your call will be returned.
Tillicum Riders, 6204 Kimber Road, is accepting large animals and livestock at the Chelan County Fairgrounds & Expo Center in Cashmere.
As of today, the fire is at 48 percent containment and 39,594 acres. Monitor fire information on InciWeb.

Eagle Creek Road to Spring Canyon (just past Hay Canyon Road)

Martin Fire (posted 11 a.m. Sept. 15)
A Level 1 Fire Advisory is in effect for Holden Village on Lake Chelan's south shore. This includes the Rio Tinto Mine water treatment plant; it DOES NOT include Lucerne, which is on the shores of Lake Chelan.
