After multiple inspections and reviews by Public Works engineering staff over the past few weeks, the County Engineer has determined that the old Chelan Falls Bridge and access road leading from the parking area off of SR 150 must be permanently closed to the public.
Chelan County has posted the Community Development Director position. Chelan County is seeking an Administrator to serve as Director of Community Development. The Director provides day to day leadership, management and development of staff in a complex regulatory and work environment. Work involves the exercise of considerable judgment resolving sensitive land use and development issues within guidelines and policies of County Code, State and Federal Laws.
To assure compliance with Federal and State stormwater requirements as specified in the Clean Water Act and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Phase II (NPDES II) regulations, the Board of County Commissioners voted to update Chelan County’s Surface and Stormwater Management Utility service area as outlined in the Chelan County Code Chapter 4.10.
Attached is Resolution 2014-32 Amending Resolution 2012-120, regulating snowmobile use on Chelan County roads. The resolution opens certain county roads to snowmobile traffic between November 15, 2014 and March 15, 2014 and lists the allowable roads.
