Posted Aug. 27, 2026: We have posted the most recent draft update of the Chelan County 2026-2046 Comprehensive Plan and its appendices. All documents are posted on this website under "For Your Review." The documents also include the draft Malaga UGA plan and the draft Stehekin Community Plan.
The Planning Commission has scheduled its hearings for the various elements of the draft comprehensive plan. You can provide comment at a hearing either in-person or via Zoom, or you can email your comments to Susan Dretke of Community Development. To ensure written comments are available for consideration by the Planning Commission, please submit them by 5 p.m. on the day that the element will be heard.
Draft Comp Plan Update (excluding Transportation and Recreation Elements), Public Participation Summary Report, Manson UGA Plan, Peshastin UGA Plan, Land Capacity Analysis, Comp Plan Maps, Racial Disparity Populations Analysis and Malaga UGA Plan with appendices.

Comprehensive Plan Update
The Comprehensive Plan is Chelan County’s 20-year guiding document for managing growth and shaping the County’s future through 2046. It outlines the vision, goals and policies that will help us address critical issues, from housing and transportation to economic development and public services. This plan is a requirement under the state’s Growth Management Act, and the next review and update must be completed by Dec. 31, 2026.
Chelan County is responsible for planning for all unincorporated parts of the county, including land within the urban growth areas. The City of Chelan will be participating in some parts of the County process, although each incorporated city in Chelan County (including Chelan, Wenatchee, Entiat, Cashmere and Leavenworth) is responsible for updating its own comprehensive plans.
