Please send us the notarized, original, version of your document.
Fees are payable by check to the Chelan County Auditor. The Basic Standard fee will apply to all documents other than those specifically listed as exception fees on the list.
We will mail your original documents back to you within 0-2 days after recording.
Troubleshooting Tip
If your document references real estate, the property’s full legal description and 12-digit Assessor parcel number(s) will need to be included in the document.
Special Instructions for conveyance documents (deeds, real estate contracts, assignment of sublease, etc.)
Documents that convey property interest will need to be accompanied by a completed Real Estate Excise Affidavit (REET). This form and processing fee are required even when no excise is to be collected on the transaction.
When mailing, send all the following items together in a single package:
The Document(s). Original signed and notarized version;
Check payable to the Chelan County Treasurer for either the amount of Excise due on the transaction, or when exempt from Excise tax, a flat $10 processing fee;
Check payable to the Chelan County Auditor for the recording fee. Refer to the Basic Standard Fee.
We will route your packet among our offices and return the original via mail once recorded.
