Remote Hearing Guidelines:
- Identification: Make sure the Zoom has your name listed, so the court knows who you are. Do not speak or identify yourself when entering a hearing, but be prepared to indicate your presence when your matter is called.
- Mute: Keep your microphone (phone/computer) muted until it is time for you to speak.
- Speakerphone: If possible, avoid using the speakerphone feature on your phone. If using a computer, consider using a headset with microphone.
- When Speaking: Speak slowly and clearly, and loud enough to be heard.
- No Hold: Do not put your call on HOLD. Many phone systems have “hold music” that plays when “hold” is activated.
