25C05541 - Rescue of Injured Hiker In The Enchantments
Sheriff Mike Morrison reports, in addition to the ongoing search for Travis Decker, the need for back country rescues continues. On 6/20/2025 Rivercom received a report of a 32 year old female from Seattle, who had fallen and injured her shoulder while hiking the enchantments. She was unable to walk out and needed rescuing.
Despite an incoming wind storm, The Sheriff’s Office helicopter was able to take advantage of a small window and fly to the area of Perfection Lake, where they contacted the injured hiker. They loaded her on the helicopter and transported her to waiting ambulance at the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery.
