Vets Program hosts June 9 blood drive
The Chelan County Veterans Program is hosting a community blood drive on June 9 with the American Red Cross.
The blood drive will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Veterans Hall, 1206 N. Wenatchee Ave. Register to donate blood on the American Red Cross website. Or call the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767.
Local veterans are encouraged to volunteer at the community event or to sign up to donate blood. If you are interested in volunteering that day, email Veterans Program manager Tony Sandoval at tony.sandoval@co.chelan.wa.us.
This is the first year local veterans are putting on the blood drive, which they hope to make an annual event as a way to give back to the community.
