No garbage drop-off at Dryden Transfer Station Oct. 31-Nov. 6
The Dryden Transfer Station will be closed for household and commercial garbage drop-off from Oct. 31 through Friday Nov. 6.
The transfer station will be open regular hours that week for brush and recycling only. The facility will reopen to full services on Saturday, Nov. 7.
During that time, a contractor will be installing a new Grizzly, or the grapple that grabs the garbage and loads it into trucks for the landfill. The Grizzly is a vital piece of equipment at the facility. It costs $350,000 and is being paid for with county funds.
