New Ohme Gardens Director Appointed
Long-time Central Washington community leader Nena Howell has been selected as the new director of Wenatchee's iconic Ohme Gardens. Howell was selected to replace retiring director Mike Short.
“Ohme Gardens is such an iconic landmark in our valley, and now is the time to ask our community what significant improvements they see in Ohme's future over the next ten years," said Howell.
The gardens, founded by the Ohme family in 1929, will mark 90 years in 2019 as a popular destination for residents and visitors to Central Washington.
