New Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan considered for adoption
The Board of Supervisors of the Chelan County Flood Control Zone District will conduct a public hearing on Monday, Nov. 13, to consider adoption of the district's proposed Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan and Financial Policies.The public is invited to the hearing, which will be at 2 p.m. in the chambers of the Board of Chelan County Commissioners, 400 Douglas St. in Wenatchee. Public comments will be taken during the hearing.
The management plan and financial policies, which will guide the future direction of the Flood Control Zone District, are being considered for adoption following a year-long period of planning that included opportunities for the public and public agencies to submit comments on the plan. The proposed plan is available on the Flood Control Zone District website.
