County assessor to host four spring community meetings
Chelan County Assessor Wes Cornelius invites property owners and all interested parties to attend one of four community meetings scheduled this spring throughout the county.
Cornelius and his staff will talk about how the assessment process works, how the office uses sales data to do its market sales analysis, and how they break out neighborhoods for revaluation purposes. The meetings will include a short introduction and then a description of trends the Assessor's Office is seeing in the real estate market and how those trends may affect 2026 assessed values for 2027 taxes. There will also be time for the public to ask questions.
The following meeting times are planned:
Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee area: 6 to 7 p.m. on April 23 at Leavenworth Fire Hall, 228 Chumstick Highway
Chelan and Manson area: 6 to 7 p.m. on April 29 at Chelan City Hall, 135 E. Johnson Ave.
Cashmere and South Wenatchee/Malaga area: 6 to 7 p.m. on May 20 at Wenatchee High School, in the new commons area.
Entiat and North Wenatchee area: 6 to 7 p.m. on May 27 at Wenatchee Valley Fire Department Station No. 11, 206 Easy St. in Wenatchee.
