Community Development will host a community meeting on May 21 to discuss the new urban growth area proposed for Malaga.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and is at Mission View Elementary School, 60 Terminal Ave.
An urban growth area, or UGA, is a term used by cities and counties to define where home and business development is allowed. We hope to have a draft of the proposed UGA posted to our website about a week prior to the meeting.
At the meeting, staff will introduce the overall concept and explain the decision-making process. There will be time for you to ask questions or share your thoughts at the meeting. But don’t worry! This will not be your only opportunity to talk with us on this topic; we will also have future hearings.
