On April 6, 2026, at approximately 6:18 p.m., deputies with the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 1700 block of Swanson Gulch Road following a report of an injury collision. Upon arrival, deputies located a small two-door convertible that had left the roadway and rolled down an embankment.
The initial investigation indicated two occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt, and both were ejected during the rollover.
One occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second occupant, identified as 22-year-old David Rosas-Rodriguez of East Wenatchee, sustained injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash and the incident remains under active investigation. The identity of the deceased individual is being withheld pending autopsy results and notification of next of kin.
