26C00493 Failure to Report/Criminal Mistreatment Arrest Made
As result of an initial sex offense that was reported in January of 2026, Chelan County Detectives are conducting an investigation into the Tierra Learning Center, located in Leavenworth, WA. The Tierra Learning Center is a 501(c)(3) that specializes in programs for adults with special needs and disabilities, including programs for arts and independent living skills and has an on-site adult family home, the “Coyote House”.
Through the investigation, Chelan County Detectives developed probable cause and made an arrest of the manager of the “Coyote House” on 4/9/26. He was identified as,
Matt Woods, a 38-year-old male from Wenatchee, WA.
Woods was booked on violations of RCW 74.34.053 Failure to Report and for RCW 9A.42.037, Criminal Mistreatment 4th degree.
This is an ongoing investigation, which is being conducted alongside the Department of Social and Health Services’ Adult Protective Service and the Residential Care Services. No further information will be released at this time.
