Short-term Rental Moratorium - Resolution 2020-104, Continuation of Moratorium occurred February 2, 2021 through Resolution 2021-20
Effective August 25, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners enacted a moratorium to take effect immediately in the interest of good government and the public health, safety, and welfare. Resolution 2020-86 - A resolution enacting a moratorium on the designation, permitting, construction, development, expansion, remodeling, creation, locating, and siting of short term rental uses, structures, residences, businesses, lots, zones, buildings.
On October 6, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing to consider the status of the moratorium. After public testimony was taken, the Board passed Resolution 2020-104 continuing the Moratorium, with some edits to the original resolution.
On February 2, 2021, the Board amended and extended the moratorium to August 25, 2021 while the short-term rental task force completes its work and the Board decides a final version of the code (which is on-hold while the task force is working and in effect until April 23, 2021).
