Explorers Post 912

General Purpose

The purpose of the Chelan County Sheriff Explorer Post is to familiarize young people, ages 14 through 21, with the procedure and qualifications of the Chelan County Sheriff's Office and to interest them in a law enforcement career, while promoting communications and understanding between police personnel and the community.

Functional Objectives

The objectives of the law enforcement explorer program are career oriented. The Chelan County Sheriff Explorer Post has been established also as a service organization to aid and supplement the Chelan County Sheriff's Office in its activities, such as crowd control, traffic control, marathons, security, maintenance of order at parades, other places where large crowds assemble, and general community services.

The Chelan County Sheriff's Explorer Post relies heavily on community support in order to maintain its small budget. Any donation would be appreciated. Donations can be sent to the Chelan County Sheriff's Office, Attention Sergeant Kent Sisson.
