Watershed Planning: Lake Chelan
Currently the Lake Chelan (WRIA 47) Planning Unit is in Phase II of the Watershed Planning process. With Chelan County Natural Resource Department as the lead entity, the Planning Unit has conducted a Water Quantity Assessment and developed a Long-term Water Quality Monitoring Plan for the lake. Once Phase II is completed in June, 2010 Phase III will begin. Phase III is the development of the Watershed Management Plan. The Plan will include recommendations for meeting future water needs, improving water quality and restoring/preserving wildlife habitat.
A Water Quantity Assessment and a Long Term Monitoring Plan are currently being developed for the Lake Chelan area. These documents will be approved and available online soon.
