Chelan County Multi-Jurisdiction Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan Update
Overview
The Chelan County Emergency Management Council, comprised of Chelan County and the cities of Cashmere, Chelan, Entiat, Leavenworth and Wenatchee is spearheading the update of the 2004 Chelan County Multi-Jurisdiction Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan Update. The update is required to be completed by February 2010 in order for local jurisdictions to remain eligible for natural hazard mitigation and planning funding. The current plan is a comprehensive document that evaluates and identifies natural hazards, potential risks from those hazards, and projects to mitigate for and respond to hazard events. The 2004 plan is being updated to reflect a variety of changes in the last six years, including hazard events, new capital infrastructure and the completion of multiple hazard mitigation projects. See below for specific information regarding the update.
