SINGLE EVENT SECURITY POLICY
Effective April 1, 2006 security at the Chelan County Fairgrounds will be provided by the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). Security and security payment will be processed through the Fairgrounds office. Payment for such services must be made to the Fairgrounds office PRIOR to the event.
***The current cost for one (1) uniformed Deputy, to include vehicle and equipment, is currently averaging $55.32 per hour. This is the cost of each Deputy in attendance.
AMOUNT OF SECURITY REQUIRED
Security may be required for any event with the presence of alcohol, music and/or dancing.
The level of security will be predicated on the following criteria:
1. Venue or venues utilized
2. Number of attendees
3. Whether a PRIVATE or PUBLIC event

All events will be charged for Deputies until 12:30 AM in order to have coverage during breakdown of the event

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- Officers maintain the right to refuse entry to a function if they feel that the safety of such event would be diminished or compromised.
- Attendance will be maintained at the level stated by the event holder (lessee) prior to the event.
- Lessee wishing to sell alcohol at an event must follow the Chelan County Fairgrounds policy concerning the sales of alcohol. See requirements attached.
- Alcohol will only be supplied by the person or persons contracted for the lease of the facility and in possession of a banquet permit. The permit must be issued to the person contracted for the use of the facility and be posted in a conspicuous place during the duration of the event. All consumable alcohol must be on the premises prior to the event starting. No alcohol may be brought in during the event.
- Locating the presence of alcohol from sources other than those outlined in this policy will be grounds to close the function. Under these circumstances a portion of the deposit up to and including the entire amount may be forfeited.
- Locating the presence of alcohol at a non-alcohol function will be grounds to close the function. Under these circumstances a portion of the deposit up to and including the entire amount may be withheld.
- Based on the number of attendees expected and/or based on past practice of a particular group, the management of the fairgrounds reserves the right to require a greater amount of security.
- Any violations in the Washington State Laws, County Ordinances, or applicable Washington Administrative Codes (WAC’s) will be grounds to suspend or close the function. Under these circumstances a portion of the deposit up to and including the entire amount may be withheld.
- Illegal activities in the designated parking area or other areas of the fairgrounds by attendees shall be grounds for suspension or closure of the event. Under these circumstances a portion of the deposit up to and including the entire amount may be withheld.
- Five days notice of cancellation is required. Failure to give five days notice will result in forfeiture of deposit.
