The Chelan County Public Works Department is seeking applications for the position of Office Engineer. This position performs broad-based construction management duties and assists in the engineering design within the Public Works Department. Typical design duties include assisting in the preparation of contract plans (utilizing AutoCad), specifications, and estimates. Typical duties include processing contract administration and material documentation, construction inspection, and agency oversight of highway, bridge, structure, dam, and miscellaneous work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with the requirements of associated contract plans and specifications while maintaining the approved budget and schedule. Minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to three (3) years of construction management or administrative experience of a progressive nature of similar character and breadth as the duties outlined in the job description. Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical institute. Applicant shall have a valid Washington State Driver’s License. The hiring salary level is $4,069/month to $4,710/month depending on qualifications and experience, plus benefits. Chelan County Juvenile Center is looking for a Part-Time Relief Worker. This is an on-call, hourly position that averages 20 hours per week. Duties include providing for the care, safety, and security of incarcerated juveniles. Observing and documenting youths daily behavior, as well as attending to the physical and emotional needs of youth; monitoring free time; supervise and control youth; provide security for your, staff, and the facility; perform searches; room checks, and head counts; perform janitorial duties; complete meal preparation, kitchen duties, and serve meals.
