Ron Walter

Leadership needs to be consistent and proactive in developing a focus for the future of Chelan County and identify the steps needed to get there. Leadership needs to look for solutions and consensus, not create conflict.
Strong ~ Planning
The interests of the Citizens of Chelan County must be a part of the process when dealing with State and Federal regulations. County government must be good stewards of the public funds and property. Government needs to continually look for ways to economize and provide it's services efficiently.
Personal Background:
Ron has served the people of Chelan County as a County Commissioner since 2001. Ron moved with his family to East Wenatchee in 1961, after living in Chelan for twelve years. Ron and his wife Deb have lived on a cherry orchard off Squilchuck Road in Wenatchee since 1976. Ron and Deb have three children and three grandchildren. Ron enjoys growing cherries, boating, camping, hiking, fishing, softball and snow skiing
Education:
Graduate of Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management Class 17 Graduate of The Washington Ag. Forestry Education Foundation, member of Washington State Farm Bureau and Washington State Horticulture Association
