Wenatchee River Valley Tour for King County Council Members, September 20th, 2002Chelan County Commissioners invited the King County Council to spend a day in Chelan County to get acquainted and discuss common issues. Planned activities included meeting in the "Bavarian Village" of Leavenworth, an informational tour of Peshastin Irrigation District, an orchard tour given by orchard owner Chelan County Auditor Evelyn Arnold of Dryden, lunch at the Stemilt Fruit packing house, an informational tour of Chelan County PUD-Rocky Reach Dam and finally dinner overlooking the Columbia River at Ohme Gardens, a state owned and Chelan County operated garden park. Metropolitan King County Council Members attending were Carolyn Edmonds, Dwight Pelz, and Cynthia Sullivan.
