This Weeks Agenda

Past Minutes

President Bush (bottom right) started his Washington State visit with a tour of the Ice Harbor Lock and Dam, just east of Pasco in Walla Walla County. This marked the first time a president had been to the Tri-Cities since President Nixon came 32 years ago to dedicate an expansion at Hanford. Can you spot the Chelan County Elected officials in this photo with President Bush? Certainly, Commissioner Keith Goehner stands above the crowd, and you might spot Commissioner Ron Walter in the lower left. But what about PUD Commissioner Dave Pflugrath and Jim Wall, or Commissioner Hawkins’ hat and right arm. Also in the picture is the top of the head of Douglas County Commissioner Mary Hunt.

Our three Commissioners each expressed how grateful they were to be able to meet the President and represent Chelan County. Each was struck by the honesty, sincerity and genuine friendliness of our President.
