Finding Someone Qualified to Perform the Ceremony

Once the license becomes valid, it is up to you to find someone to perform the ceremony inside the State of Washington within 60 days.

Persons qualified to perform a marriage ceremony: The State of Washington does not maintain a registry of persons qualified to perform marriages. Ordained ministers and judges are among those granted authority to perform the marriage ceremony . Civil Ceremony : Judges in both the Chelan County District Court and Chelan County Superior Court perform marriage ceremonies by appointment.
